1 Gun Club Check
A woollen dress fabric used principally for sportswear. The basis is a small contrasting check design, white and colour, such as 4 white, 4 colour; 5 white, 5 colour; or 6 white, 6 colour. Very often a faint red, or blue overcheck is introduced to give patterns up to 2-in. square or more. A typical make has about 42 ends and 36 picks per inch. The checking for one example is as follows: - 5 white 3 times. 5 dark grey 3 times. 5 white 3 times. 5 black 3 times. 5 white 5 dark grey 5 white 1 dark red 2 times. 1 black 2 times. 1 dark red 80 ends on 17/8-in. The weft checking is like the warp pattern, with 80 picks on 21/8-in.. -

It only explodes with the aid of an initial explosion as provided by a detonator. The cotton is first cleansed, combed and dried, and after treatment is finally washed, pulped and pressed. -
